Shell Shearwater
Shell operates the Shearwater platform off the coast of Aberdeen and is connected to a high pressure subsea trunkline which many other platforms feed in to and could not be shut down. During a TA the Valvetight DBB-SAVER was used to isolate works on the riser system by providing a zero leak rate condition when connected to the body cavity of the Riser Valve, making sure all works could be executed in full safety without the need of a shut down of the trunkline.
