Pig trap door seal replacement
The ENI Energy L10-AR complex is the central hub for the main subsea gas transport pipeline NGT, with many other platforms tied in to this NGT trunk line as well. The pig trap launcher door needed to be opened while the NGT line remained in operation.
The DBB-SAVER provided the isolation on the single riser and single kicker valve body cavity of the Cameron T31 ball valves, making 100% sure there was no possibility of any gas passing from the NGT line towards the safe work area and create hermetically sealed valves. The vent outlet of the DBB-SAVER was straight up to safe area.
Straight after this project also another pig trap (the receiver from the D15 platform) was isolated to exchange some spools.
