Compressor barrel exchange
Troll-A, an iconic platform, providing a significant amount of the European gas demand, has 4 large export compressors. Enabling them to be serviced without shutdown of the complete production output when being confronted with passing valves, the DBB-SAVER was deployed. There were 4 isolation points in parallel, the main lines with single valves with a connection possible to the body cavities of these valves.
With our Valvetight DBB-SAVER solution a tight shut-off isolation was 100% guaranteed. We created, maintained, controlled and monitored the vacuum in all four bleed sections simultaneuously, with just a single DBB-SAVER set-up. A Liquid KO vessel was used upstream of our DBB-SAVER. The work could be safely executed without delays, further shutdowns or depressurization of adjecent systems.
